From Zero to Hero - The story of a famous British Designer Craig Green | MusteredLady.com

Craig Green Design

British Designer- Craig Green is an amazing menswear designer. Having won the top prize at Central Saint Martin after graduation in 2012 and also a sponsorship from Fashion East and Topman; it became more glaring just how good he is at what he does.

In fact, he is so talented that some female clients don’t mind exercising patience and retail gender adherence when going into men’s rail at places like Dover Street Market to buy his products and designs.

Just recently, FKA twigs was seen wearing one of Craig’s pants and a kimono jacket during performances at Coachella as well as in Los Angeles. Even Blogger- Susie Lau has a Craig Green quilted, baggy, daresay shapeless trousers with a closured down outer leg. And more influential editors keep basking in Green’s style especially during the Fall shows in February.

Give it whatever name you want but there is definitely a growing pansexual appeal for more and more of Green’s style which will be included in the Green’s spring designs during this summer’s China: Through The Looking Glass” exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Green will be sitting with the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier, Tom Ford and Alexander McQueen.

Excited Green gushed about this major break for his clothing line as he spoke about how amazing things were.

“It’s kind of a weird . . . surreal moment, to have my work at the Met.” He then adds, with the sort of self-deprecating humor that makes him evermore likable: “You’re going to see all of these amazing designers, and then there’ll be me on the end.”

Green unique value proposition is his ability to infuse workwear and day-to-day uniformity with spiritual overtones. He regards this as a unique formula and, as he says, it lends itself to being relatively “asexual,” which might explain women getting in on the mix. “Some of it, actually, looks a bit better on girls,” he concedes.
